In the
spirit of the Stone Soup folk story in which hungry strangers persuade
local people of a
town to
give them food in times of extreme scarcity, the Friends of the Frink
Centre is presenting
a
festival of music, dance, theatre and its own recipe for stone soup, the
Stone Soup Festival.

Sunday, March 20th 11-3 MAPLE FEST

Sunday, January 30, 2011: 1:00 p.m. to
3:00 p.m.
Join us on this winter hike as we explore one of the more popular trails
at this 500-acre property as we attempt to dispel the myth that
everything goes to sleep for the winter. We will look at winter tree
identity and if there is fresh snow, check out some of the scats, tracks
and signatures that we come upon. Registration by calling the hike
leader at 613-476-5072 or e-mailing
tsprague@kos.net is advised.
Although there is no fee to take part in this guided hike, a donation
toward the
efforts of the Friends of the Frink Centre would be appreciated.
